We specialize in western horsemanship, reining, and ranch performance horses.
At RLPH- the horses always come before the sport. The overall wellbeing of horses is the highest priority when training them for their future and current careers. A horse who is mentally and physically sound, taught correctly, and brought along consistently will perform well in whatever he does. Knowing when to push and when to hold back is what makes or breaks and exceptional equine athlete, in our opinion. No gimmicks can ever replace good horsemanship and compassion towards our equine partners.
By taking the time to understand our horses, evaluate them, and get to know them we can better help our owners to become good horsemen for their equine partners and have success in the show ring. We develop horses for the derbies, futurities, NRBC, Non-Pros, and Youth.

Over 20 years in the industry, multiple high point awards, top five awards, money earnings in Ranch Riding/Reining, assistant trainer positions with top trainers, and 2 Bachelors degrees in equine studies... from horse showing, to teaching college horseback riding classes, to starting countless colts, to helping kids and adults swing a leg over for the first time... Alex prides themselves on being a well-rounded equestrian professional.
Graduating from the University of Findlay, they had incredible opportunities to learn from the best in the industry- including 2x Hall of Fame trainer Clark Bradley and multiple time champion/money earner Jerry Coleman. They carry their invaluable teachings with them always.
As a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, Alex holds the firm belief that horses are for ALL, and who you are should never limit your potential to pursue your passion.
